Hi, I’m Will Bangs. I am a musician and founder of Music Box Licensing. Thank you for checking out our work. I really appreciate it. I work with filmmakers to find amazing soundtracks with a real artist’s touch. I care deeply about supporting musicians’ craft by licensing their work. I have a well-stocked music library ranging from hip-hop to classical ready to license. My team of musicians and composers all around the world are ready to write, record and revise soundtracks from scratch for your projects. Our music is featured in Emmy award winning web series and feature-length indie films racking up awards at festivals around the world. Our music is used to tell cinematic, personal stories for commercial brands and companies like UPS and David’s Bridal to non-profits like National Geographic and PBS.  When I’m not composing or finding the perfect soundtracks for filmmakers, I can be found:

  • Hanging out with my amazing family. My wife is a photographer, my goldendoodle and shar-pei are professional nappers and our daughter Willow is constantly melting our hearts.
  • Teaching rambunctious middle school kiddos. I work in a performing arts charter school teaching English and Social Studies. I get to introduce them to everything from Shakespeare to The Outsiders. Forms of government to conflicts in the Middle East. It may seem like a far cry from the world of film, but in the end it’s all about telling stories.

If you’re dying to know more about the Music Box Licensing family of musicians and filmmakers, here are four things to know:

  • Our musicians play shows around the world – from venues in the heart of London to the mountains of Mexico. Rural New England pubs to art spaces in Moscow.
  • The filmmakers we work with show their work at Sundance and small town film festivals. From primetime commercial spots to fundraising events for non-profits.
  • The filmmakers we work with have produced work ranging from Napoleon Dynamite to Washington Post stories. Google commercials to thought-provoking documentaries.
